Update on Work Performed

The end of last week focused on trying to make up lost time due to the weather issues discussed in the two previous postings. Friday was spent making sure Buildings G and M were prepped and ready to go for a double pour on Saturday the 15th. The inspection process went well and we worked into the evening on Friday finishing up in order to ensure the pour would happen.

Saturday morning we started pouring at 5:oo AM. Building G was down in just over 2 hours. Building M took a bit more time due to the design. We placed a total of 768 cubic yards for both buildings averaging 90 cubic yards of placement per hour. By 2:30 PM all concrete was placed. During the pour it was necessary for us to continue working on set up as we had to strip the construction joint between G and M after the concrete set up enough, in order to continue to pour the next building. These buildings had extensive depressed slabs at varying depths and that process was also necessary for those placements. The pour went very well.
